SERENITY HALL ♦ SECRETARY GUIDELINES FOR ZOOM

Serenity Hall Secretary Format: We thank all secretaries for their effort and time. To help you be of better service, here is a set of  guidelines.

  • Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the meeting. This will allow time for set-up before the meeting. All readings should be assigned and have a Leader for the meeting.

THANK YOU, and enjoy your commitment to your sobriety.

Please use all or any portion of this suggested format as your group desires

Serenity Hall Secretary Format:

Secretary: Welcome to the (time/Meeting name). This is a regular open meeting of the Serenity Hall Group of Alcoholics Anonymous. My name is ____, and I am an alcoholic and your current Secretary.

Please treat this online meeting as you would an in-person meeting and refrain from activities that would be distracting to others. To minimize background noise, we have muted all participants. However, you have the ability to un-mute yourself at any time.

A word about anonymity: If you are concerned about your full name being shown—or your photo—you can click on the video down on the bottom of your screen on the
dashboard.

You can also disable your video by clicking the video icon in the lower left corner of the screen. Also, the “record meeting” function in Zoom has been disabled.

If you are in a public setting, please turn off your video and use your headphones so others can’t hear or see the meeting. If anyone interrupts the meeting, the host will mute everyone and remove that person so we can resume the meeting quickly.

This meeting follows principles of privacy and anonymity through suggested Central Office and Zoom guidelines. Ultimately, your privacy is your responsibility.

This is an OPEN meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous and everyone is welcomed; however, only alcoholics with at least 24 hours of sobriety may participate. If you have another addiction, we will be happy to help you find another meeting to attend.
